WorkSafeBC Asbestos training, certification & licensing

WorkSafeBC is initiating mandatory training and licensure for all asbestos abatement operations, to enhance the safety of workers dealing with asbestos. Effective from January 1, 2024, all asbestos abatement contractors must possess a valid license to operate within British Columbia. Additionally, it is a requirement for any individual involved in asbestos abatement to complete a thorough safety training program and acquire necessary certifications.
